I was tasked with creating one "found object" cover (using real photographed objects) and one rendered as vectors in Adobe Illustrator.
For found objects, I chose to use real food (a dumpling and sriracha sauce) to align with the novel's message of childhood home-cooked Asian meals.
For my Adobe online version, I chose to use a striking diagonal perspective of an H-Mart grocery aisle with two figures (a mom and daughter) to signify the novel's message of dealing with grief through childhood food.
